In keeping with the Shimmer Paint theme, I created this background using the previous post’s technique with Frost White Shimmer Paint and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder instead of gold. See how it results in an old world look, much like Mercury Glass? For this card, the background was then embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder using our new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (see images below, available September 1st). Quick tip: When using an embossing folder, place a piece of wax paper between the folder and the cardstock so that the shimmer paint / embossing powder does not rub off or get embedded in your folder. To create the shimmery ribbon as shown: Fill a Stampin’ Spritzer 3/4 full with rubbing alcohol and 5 drops of Shimmer Paint. Spray onto the Real Red 3/8″ Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon and heat set with an iron or Heat Tool. See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.
