Nuts about you!

The cheeky squirrels in the Nuts about Squirrels stamp set have a bit of a whimsical Disney feel to them.  As a Two-Step Stampin’ set, it allows layering of two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension.  To simplify, I just used stamp pads, making this card super simple and fun to create.  The splatter images are part of the Textures and Frames stamp set available for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration.  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Sweet Silhouettes

Do you miss someone and want to send a sweet card to let them know?  This card makes use of cardstock scraps and the Sweet Silhouettes and Dandy Wishes Dies.  You can create a ‘garden’ of your favorite colors.  I chose pastels because spring is on my mind, but brights or fall colors would work just as well.  The background was created with Blending Brushes and a toothbrush with watered down Crumb Cake Re-inker for a speckled look.  For an ombre effect, I applied ink to the flowers using a Sponge Dauber.  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Fall and All Things Fabulous!

Are you wishing for fall?!   I am – I do NOT enjoy this heat!  So, to celebrate the upcoming change of seasons, I stamped this card using vibrant fall colors.  And, I went ‘old school’ with simple pad to paper.  Easily create blossoms with Two-Step Stampin’:  Simply stamp the largest image in the lightest color.  Then, stamp the detailed images in progressively darker colors.  This process adds depth and dimension.  Have fun creating different color combinations!  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Sneak Peek Week: Wishes and Wonders

If you have followed my blog for awhile, you know I love vintage cards and that I use a lot of vintage images and colors in my projects.  The Wishes & Wonder stamp set caught my eye as its images remind me of vintage postcards.  With that in mind, I chose Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand as the colors.  I accented the edge with a perimeter of Tear & Tape Adhesive, topped with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then applied heat with a Heat Tool  It combines the vintage images with a tarnished old-fashioned border.  The background is stamped images and layered Tasteful Label Dies.  Does vintage strike your fancy?  More like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Sneak Peek Week: Detailed Dove Dies

The Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper is gorgeous!  I wish you could see this card in person.  I love it and the Plaid Tidings DSP!  Stampin’ Up! designed the plaids using lots of bright new colors – appropriate for winter, the holidays and many other occasions!  Smart move on their part and lots of options for us stampers.  Although I created this card using just the Detailed Dove Dies, the complimentary Dove of Hope stamp set features images with thick line drawings, perfect for embossing.  I’m thinking Night of Navy and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder would really pop!  I accented the dove’s wings with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon.  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.
