BOO!

Where did October go?  In a few short days it will be Halloween!  What do you think of this Halloween card from my friend Sue Miller?!  I love the rich colors and the great background created with the Blending Brushes.  The birch tree image from the Welcoming Woods stamp set makes the perfect creepy forest background.  The bat and cobweb images and greeting from the Banner Year stamp set are the perfect addition to this card.  Notice the texture Sue added using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Spooky!

Participating in a recent swap, I was really amazed and impressed at all the talent out there!  The leftmost card (created by Sheila van Uitert) uses color blocks, the Ghoulish Goodies stamp set, the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder and a circle punch to make a fun, festive card.  Great way to use paper scraps and familiar items, too.  The rightmost card (sorry, no name was provided) has a monochromatic Mountain Air background and an impressive embossed full moon!  If you’d like to join a community of stampers, think about signing up!   The JOIN NOW icon on my blog makes it fast and easy!   See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Have a Hoot – Add Shimmer Paint!

Do you recognize this Have a Hoot card from a few posts back?  Try embellishing it using a stencil and some Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Remember, a little goes a long way!  Use a Sponge Dauber to apply it and be sure to dab off some of the paint before stenciling.  Create the stencil by attaching the Trees image from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to a 6 x 6″ piece of cardboard.  (Remember, every package of 12 x 12″ DSP contains a piece of cardboard).  Tape the mask to the cardboard along one edge.  Simply tuck in your card front and stencil.  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Have a Hoot!

Here is another card featuring the new Magic in this Night DSP partnered with the Have a Hoot stamp set to create a cute little OWL card!  If you have seen the new mini catalog, you have probably fallen in love with this little guy (especially if you love Halloween as much as I do).  Check out the label and sentiment that are part of the Hallows Night Magic Bundle!  Create some magic of your own by combining this bundle with your favorite Halloween images and dies.  There really is magic in this night!  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Gather Together for Thanksgiving

My friend Annette Mueller created this beautiful sampler for me.  I love the message.  It means a lot that not only can I enjoy this myself, but can also share it with you.  Annette’s sampler demonstrates how seamlessly our stamps from year to year can be combined.  The stamps and dies include Painted Harvest, Gather Together, Day of Thanks and the Hand-Lettered Prose and Gathered Leaves Dies.  Happy Thanksgiving!
