While working on alternative uses for the June 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit (“The Adventure Begin”) and browsing Pinterest, I came across a unique mermaid card created by a German Stampin’ Up! artist. How does the saying go? “Once you see something, you can’t unsee it”. The idea stuck with me and I loved it – a new, unique use for the Penguin Builder Punch! Do you miss someone and want to send a sweet card to let them know? This card makes use of cardstock scraps and the Sweet Silhouettes and Dandy Wishes Dies. You can create a ‘garden’ of your favorite colors. I chose pastels because spring is on my mind, but brights or fall colors would work just as well. The background was created with Blending Brushes and a toothbrush with watered down Crumb Cake Re-inker for a speckled look. For an ombre effect, I applied ink to the flowers using a Sponge Dauber. You can always tell when summer is here and in full swing when the Dandelion’s go to seed and you can blow little wishes with them. This card was made by Lelia Pals one of my demo’s and I loved how Pastel and Pretty this card is. It almost looks like it is on material because she used the Tufted 3D folder. And the silver foil paper, metallic pearls and basic pearls just make it elegant. This would also look as nice using our Silver Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes!
