Q: What did the wandering crab say when he finally made it back to the ocean?

A:  Long time, no SEA!  As a Hostess set, the Make a Splash stamp set is often overlooked.  It easily lends itself to puns and riddles and you know how those crack me up!  But, its many elements would be great for a succulent terrarium card, a fishbowl or a bowl of floating flowers.  Consider combining it with the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set you may have earned FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  To achieve the look of seaweed on the crab card, roll a marble (or marbles) in your choice of re-inkers (consider the retiring In Colors).  Watch me demonstrate this technique in the Stamp with Gloria Facebook Live video dated 04-28-2020.  The stamp set is featured on page 73 of the Mini catalog – take a look before it’s gone!  Subscribe and ‘like’ me on Facebook, YouTube and my blog (stampwithgloria.com).

What’s Under My Umbrella?

Rainy days will be here soon enough, but nothing should stop you from making this bright, colorful card for someone you care about!  It’s a simple card with only two layers of cardstock.  To create a ‘crowded’ look, I used masking to layer the umbrellas.  To create the shadows, I used Gray Granite ink and an Aqua Painter.  The bright, colorful umbrella was stamped on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, painted, cut out and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the umbrella handle in Tuxedo Black Memento ink ink and, Voila! you have a simple card that anyone would appreciate. See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.
