Inspiration can be prickly

While looking around my yard for inspiration, I spied this Prickly Pear plant.  This plant has accompanied me on every move for over 10 years.  Living in Wisconsin, where cactus do not typically thrive, I thought this was such a neat plant.  It is resilient and has an outrageous number of blooms in the summer!  I like to think it is saying, “I can live anywhere with you”!  This card pairs the Plentiful Plants stamp set and Perfect Plants Dies with the new Thanks and Hello Embossing Folders!  It is a simple, sweet card with the Love You sentiment!  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

DAD-alorian!

Although Father’s Day is over, I just had to share this adorable picture of my son and his daughter!  This was his first Father’s Day.  As you can tell, he is loving every moment of fatherhood.

While designing this card, I noticed this stamp set has shapes that remind me of Star Wars.  See the planter in the lower right? Could it be part of Darth Vader’s helmet?  The Bee Charms resemble aliens.  (I’m also realizing I may have too much time on my hands).  This card takes you back to basics with direct to paper stamping.  I intentionally left the colors soft and kind of grunge-looking.  For a bolder card, use the Stamparatus and stamp the image repeatedly until you achieve the color intensity you want.  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.
