Put the Pedal to the Metal!

During my 05-18-2020 Facebook Live video, I demonstrated how to create this card.  It’s not as hard as it looks!  I featured the Pedal to the Metal stamp set because it will be retired in June.  It may not have the ‘bling’ of a punch, thinlet or die, but it’s perfect for those ‘boys with toys’ in our lives!  Don’t hesitate!  Grab it while you can at stampwithgloria.com.

Put your pedal to the metal!

The Governor has re-opened the state of Wisconsin.  The tourist industry hopefully will reap some benefit from the Memorial Day holiday.  My heart broke when the original plan was to have non-essential businesses remain closed through the holiday.  Time to put the Pedal to the Metal, grab the truck and boat and make plans to enjoy the Wisconsin outdoors!  After the quarantine, people have earned it.  This card features the Pedal to the Metal and Geared Up Garage stamp sets, accented with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder to give it a ‘tuff’ look.  Then, simply use Stampin’ Blends to add color.  If the Pedal to the Metal stamp set strikes your fancy, act now!  This set will be retired in June.  Watch me demonstrate this card and others in the Stamp with Gloria Facebook Live video dated 05-18-2020.  Subscribe and ‘like’ me on Facebook, YouTube and my blog (stampwithgloria.com).

Your “Best Catch” is right here!

Every once in a while I want to get a little artsy with a card.   This is one of those times.   I have used a lot of stamps from the Occasions Catalog that I have pictured in their sets.   Crackle Paint, Geared Up, and Best Catch.  See how I used the smoke stamp from all Geared up for the water?  I used two blue’s to achieve that look.  I also used the Shimmery White embossing Paste for the foam.  The hook is actually a yellow toothpick with a feather wrapped around it using our Gold Metallic Thread and the Silver Metallic Thread for the line.  Fun Stuff!   If you want to see new cards every other day subscribe to stampwithgloria.com.   Remember these sets and Dies are limited and will go away soon!

All Geared up for a New Year!

Men!  Let’s face it – From a different planet right? But, what man could resist this card?  There is nothing girlie about this card and it is made with the New Geared UP Garage Set in the Occasions Mini.  How did this card happen?  I cut the gears out of Crumbcake Cardstock and took four ink pads and a sponge to combine colors on the gears to make them look rusty.  The background is silver foil paper with the sparkle folder out of the main catalog.   And the rest is the Geared Up Garage set along with the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies. Do you like the smudges on the card?  I thought it was a nice touch to show you what the card might look like after a mechanic got ahold of it :).  I  used the exhaust stamp in the set to achieve that look.
