Regency Romance Retreat

Recently, I traveled with my daughter-in-law to San Diego to experience the Regency Romance Retreat.  We spent time meeting authors, reading and taking photos with a few of the models that grace the romance novel book covers.  What a unique and fun experience!  Here’s a few pics!

Warm heartfelt gestures…

My friend is giving this cute little robin a hand while he recovers.  He is grounded due to a bum foot.  She has named him Rocky and he is patiently awaiting warmer weather…

The founder of Stampin’ Up! sent me the beautiful hand-stamped card below to congratulate me on my 30 years with Stampin’ Up! and $600K in sales!  I so appreciate her gesture, sentiment and hand-crafted card!  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.

Something Completely Different!

I have always loved to watercolor – long before kids, before marriage, before everything!  Finally 38 years later, life has slowed down enough to paint again but now I have no idea what I want to do!  I attended a watercolor class at Peninsula School of Art in Door County and a fun acrylic class with my daughter-in-law in Virginia.  The mountain scene is from a photo I took in Alaska and is watercolor-on-watercolor paper.  The second painting is watercolor on a paper called Terra Skin which is made from minerals or rocks using a photo the teacher provided.  Romeo is the subject of the last painting done with acrylic paints.  Don’t you just love my Romeo?!  I am inspired to keep trying new things!  See more like this at stampwithgloria.com.
